Welcome to Zari

Zari is a small organisation founded by Kunchok Nyima (known as Nyima), a former Tibetan monk and his wife Georgie Scott. Nyima is a teacher of Tibetan sound healing.

The main aim of Zari is to help preserve the rich and diverse Tibetan culture, which is in danger of dying out as well as raise public awareness of the deteriorating situation in Tibet. Part of what we do involves organising regular events such as film screenings, talks and meditations.

We also have a stall selling beautiful, quality, Tibetan products. By purchasing these products, we are supporting the Tibetan community in Dharamsala, India where many of the products are made or bought from Tibetan traders.

Any donations we receive for our events go towards our emergency fund which was set up to support Tibetan refugee families during difficult times. So far, we have been able to pay for the school fees of several children, helped a monk who was experiencing financial difficulty and provided food and cooking equipment to an elderly Tibetan lady who cares for street dogs.

Please check the Support Us page to find out how you can get involved or click on the Events page to view our up-coming events.
